How does Group Training make it easy for industry to hire Apprentices and Trainees?

Group Training has over 25 years of experience in training and employment.  Our experience helps industry by:

Taking care of the recruitment process for industry.  GTO recruitment processes typically include:

>  A visit to the workplace to map out duties and training opportunities with industry.

>  Advertising and marketing of industry positions using extensive networks of employment contacts maximising your chances of a good fit.

>  Short listing of applicants according to skills/attributes required.

>  Telephone interviewing - shortlisting process.

>  Interviews and testing - All GTO's test applicants for numeracy, literacy and aptitude testing for basic industry skills.

>  Applicant referrals across to your business.

Once you find the right person for your job, your GTO will organise the Apprentice/Trainee paperwork to employ them.  Your business will then become what is known as a Host Business/Trainer.

Managing an Apprentice/Trainee in a complex training system is a full-time job, so we leave your staff to do what they need to do to run your business.

We take care of:

>  Apprenticeship and Traineeship registration paperwork

>  Workers Compensation registrations

>  Managing the formal industry training schedule

>  Manage the Apprenticeship and Traineeship work performance - ongoing

>  In the event of industry down turn - you are not contracted to the Apprentice/Trainee placement which allows for the GTO to replace them elsewhere.

What does it cost:

GTO's are not a fee for service recruitment organisation.  If industry hires their Apprentice or Trainee through a GTO, the recruitment processes are free.  The only cost to industry is that of the wages for the Apprentice and Trainee and other normal employee contributions associated such as super.

With industry taking into consideration the down time of their own staff in managing Apprenticeships and Traineeships, Group Training is fast becoming the viable option.

What happens when I find the right person through Group Training?

GTO has an ongoing committment and responsibility to providing quality services, they ensure this happens through:

>  providing a personal employment / business consultant to your business.  The GTO consultant will visit regularly to assist in performance managment of your Apprentice/Trainee, and offer advice on training tasks for onsite work duties.  You will never be left on your own as your consultant will be with you for the life of the Apprenticeship or Traineeship.

What benefits are there for industry to use a GTO?

Group Training saves industry, time, money and headaches.
